extender setup, it will erase all of your personal
preferences because extender is now on the default setting. While
troubleshooting your Linksys wifi weak connection, resetting the
extender will ask you to test the settings recommended by the
manufacturer to see if a speed of your network increases or not. In
case you were not able to set up it in the first attempt, you can
again reset the range. And make your device run fast and smooth.
1) Enter the IP address into the
browser address bar to access your web-based router. Enter
"192.168.1.1" if you haven't change the default IP address.
2) Now you have to type the
username and password to access the utility. During the process keep
one thing in mind that if you didn't change the login information
leave the username field blank and enter “admin” into the
password filed and now click “login” or “OK.”
3) Now you have to select the
“Administration” tab. After selecting this click on the tab
labeled “factory defaults”
4) Now click on the “Restore
factory defaults” button.
5) That one is the last step you
have to click on the “management” tab, now click on “Restore
configurations” and then choose “Save settings” to restore your
default settings.
How to reboot a Linksys router over
a network
Linksys router has a physical button on
the back of the device which is used to reboot, reset and restore its
factory default setting. It can be inconvenient if physical device
location is disabled when the device needs resetting. You want to
know how
to setup Linksys router then you have to follow below
mentioned steps to reboot your router.
1) Open a web browser on your device
and type IP address into it after this it will navigate you to the
router control panel. The address is typical "192.168.1.1."
2) Now you have to enter the router
username and password details and then click “OK”. At this time
router, administration control panel will load in your web browser.
3) In your web browser click the
address bar and move the cursor to the end of the router IP address.
4) At the end of the router IP address
type "/Reset.html" and press “Enter”. Now the router
will automatically start rebooting when the hidden reset page loads
in your web browser.
